About Monika Cieplinska
I am a painter, illustrator & designer.
My sun filled studio in the center of the historical part of Grasse is a blooming creative space where I work, teach and sell my art.
Guided by freedom of spirit, imagination, creativity and beauty, my mission is to bring a little joy and poetry into the heart of each and every one of you.

Addicted to sketchbooks, patterns, miniatures, symbols, the colour blue and the collision between controlled attention to detail and the unexpected results of letting go, she follows her creative energy and all that is visible only with the heart.
My style is joyful, naïve, full of colours and imagination and I work in a variety of media. These include watercolour, acrylics, gouache, inks, ceramics and mixed media. Most importantly, I continuously explore creative techniques both in the digital and art world.
I find inspiration in everyday life. For instance in nature, people and their stories, the botanical world, cute animals and the poetry of life. Moreover, in my creations, I often relate to folk art from Poland, where i grew up and studied art and education.

My projects include children’s book illustrations, book design, fabric patterns, logos, packaging, graphic design. Moreover, I co-organise various art events in Grasse. I currently offer art workshops in my studio in Grasse (the art of sketching, intuitive painting, summer workshops for children).
